Ok…So, with the help of Amanda White from Truth in the Tinsel wanting me to post this activity that I started with my kids on the last day of TNT last year + a lot of late nights + the Holy Spirit + help with the house, kids, and editing from my husband + more help with editing from friends + sheer determination over these past 2 weeks…I present to you this post, as well as The Christmas Cross Hunt activity, ebook, and website!
Sound fun? Well, let me count the ways for you that it is! But before I do that, let me give you a little background on my
obsession, er…adventure with bringing this activity to fruition.
I’ve already written a little history in my intro to the eBook, so why not give you a little sneak peak as well into it? :)
Don’t you love how the cross on our wall is hiding underneath our Truth in the Tinsel ornaments in that picture?! :) I was searching for any pictures of us doing the Christmas Cross Hunt together from last year, and you guessed it…nada. I did find this picture and thought it was representative of Jesus’ birth pointing to His death.
I have to say that I’m in awe of how all of this has happened with getting the book written. Truly I have felt God guiding me through this these past few weeks with Him pointing out verses to me as I wrote each 24 days of the activity eBook. I felt like verses would just pop out at me as I searched on my Bible app on my phone. As I progressed through the project, I became more and more excited at what God would show me next. My prayers throughout the day lately have been, “God thank you for using me to write this book! I’m in awe of You and thankful that you are using little me!” Needless to say, this has all been a little surreal.
Here’s a little blurb of what The Christmas Cross Hunt entails…
First, you can make a “Christmas Cross” craft box that you mod podge with Christmassy papers (because…who doesn’t love to mod podge?) that you will use to hide the Cross Connection Verse in each of the 24 days of Advent. Not crafty? Feel free to use a cross you already have or to buy one. Here’s one for

If you do choose to make the cross craft, the instructions to make the box with printable templates are included with the eBook as well as the printable verses for each day of Advent to put on the outside of your box. I’ve found verses that connect Jesus’ birth to His dying on the cross and have written the eBook in a lesson plan type of format with the “Cross Connections” to help my kids understand the verses. Then I have ended each day with an optional activity to do with them to take it even further. Here’s another glimpse at the eBook with a sample of what the “Cross Connections” look like.
A lot of the activities have links in them for you to get a printable or go to a certain website to do something related to the “Connection.”
Well, I guess that about explains it! If you have any questions, feel free to leave a reply. Now, go get yourself a copy!
Oh! Almost forgot! The first 10 people who comment about how excited they are, will win a free copy! It’s on the house! Gratis! After that it will be $4.99. Happy New Release Day!!
